The Torch Podcast was founded by Paul Laurence Dunbar's High school Online Newspaper "The Lamplighter" in 2016. Edith Cruz served as a writer & producer of the podcast in 2017-2018. Cruz took a quick change to Season 3 of The Torch as she focused on highlighting stories of undocumented students like her in Kentucky.

Episode 4 focuses on Lizeth Alonso, a PLD Alumni and current DACA student at Asbury University.  Alonso discusses what it was like to live in the United States with an expired visa as a child and how crucial DACA is for her Higher Education.
