When I completed my Yoga Teacher Training, I felt inadequate and unprepared to call myself a yoga teacher. The amount of information left me feeling overwhelmed. I realised that teaching yoga required a whole new skillset. From mastering the vocabulary for effective cues to understanding anatomy and body mechanics. I had to learn how to craft sequences adaptable to every student and read the energy in the room, as well as adjusting class plans to student requests and answering questions I didn't always have answers to.

Teaching yoga is so much more than giving cues and instructions. 💫

We're not alone in underestimating the journey to becoming a yoga teacher... but I also know how fulfilling, rewarding and satisfying it feels to finally feel confident about who you are, what you teach and have your students leave your class already excited to join the next. 🤩
