Zimbabwe Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa says the country's land reform programme remains irreversible with Government efforts now focused on improving agricultural productivity. She was speaking in a special programme on Classic 263 on Wednesday 2 September 2020, hosted by Moe Chanda, featuring questions from listeners.

Minister Mutsvangwa had made similar remarks at a post-cabinet briefing earlier on in the week, and after a joint Press conference by Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement Minister Dr Anxious Masuka and his Finance and Economic Development counterpart Professor Mthuli Ncube.

There has been a lot of speculation on social media over the recent Global Compensation Deed between Government and white former commercial farmers, which deals with constitutionally-required compensation for improvements made by the previous owners.
