In episode 3 of the Zodiac Killer 2020 Podcast series we cover the first two confirmed Zodiac attacks.

The first of these occurred on December 20, 1968 when Betty Lou Jensen & David Faraday, out together on their first date just days before Christmas, were brutally murdered in cold blood in a local lover's lane in Benicia, California.

The second confirmed attack took place some 7 months later, July 4th 1969, when Darlene Ferrin was murdered and her male companion, Mike Mageau, was severely injured after having been shot in the neck. Not only did this attack take place only 2 miles from the scene of the double murder before Christmass 1968, but it was an almost identical attack too.

In the aftermath of the Independence Day attack, whilst police frantically investigated the case, the killer would take steps to reveal his identity in a rather unexpected fashion.
