Great episode about, well, historic houses in America including Secretary of State Seward's and the house used in "Halloween." Nice chemistry b/w hosts as always. Was going to give this episode five stars until Kiernan felt he had to inject politics into the episode with what I assumed was a jab at the Georgia Heartbeat Bill. I'm all for free speech but not everyone who listens to the show is pro-abortion. This is a travel podcast--keep your politics out of it. (This political slant seems to be a trend for this show. In the past, the hosts have taken shots at Donald Trump.)

Great chemistry b/w the hosts. I learn a lot about a variety of subjects (national parks, East Shore of Maryland, etc.), too. My main gripe, though, is the hosts' need to inject politics into the show. Every so often, they'll work in a way to bash ex-President Trump in one way or another. Everyone's allowed to have their own political opinions and I'm all for free speech but politics doesn't belong on a travel podcast. I'll be upfront--I voted for Trump in 2020 and you could call me "pro-Trump" but I wouldn't want the hosts to bring politics into the show even if their political views aligned w/ mine. This show just isn't the place. It's a travel pod--keep it about travel or create a separate pod about politics.

Wide range of destinations discussed. Knowledgeable guests with good information on said destinations. Host Chris can sometimes talk too much. He's always correcting guests, interjecting with things he's looked up on Google Search while guests are talking (makes him seem uninterested sometimes and is frankly annoying), or adding one-minute-plus blurbs of his own. I'm sure his intentions are good but if the host could tone down these things the podcast would be more enjoyable to listen to.
