No really she was on shark week on the discovery channel :) Really excited about all the work she does with Save the Seas and collaborating with local fisherpeople to make Japan's fishing industry more sustainable and to document the actual situation through her interviews and research.

Always fun to chat with Bobby + Ollie on their show - talk here about Hiroshima's PCR innovation and the booming Akiya (abandoned homes) market in Japan now- I've had so many talks on remodeling and restoring old home in the Seeking Sustainability Live talkshow series over the past year- it's a very popular topic! I think coronavirus has helped a lot of us really consider what we prioritize in life and the idea of "convenience" living in a crowded city certainly has less appeal! I was really shocked to hear that Bobby is dealing with discrimination in getting a loan, there should be protections for people recovering from Covid19 not penalties.

Dr.Chelsea Szendi Schieder is such a talented writer and I really appreciate her insights into this part of Japan's history that no one is shining a light on in English, but these young female activists stories need to be documented and remembered so we can build on the path they have forged for future generations of women.
