CEO & Executive Producer at Crate Media
Over the last few weeks, we’ve talked about identity crises and exit strategies — and I’ve been doing the work myself. When I look at where I stand now, and where I want to go, the decision becomes clear: It’s time to retire the Your Badass Journey podcast and allow the space to launch something new. It is possible to have a graceful exit that makes sure you are still taking care of your clients, your community, and yourself in the process. For me, that means taking a pause so that I can intentionally reintroduce the next level of myself, and creating an arena for all of us to come together in a new way. The most graceful way for me to exit is to close out this show with gratitude and a desire for more.   Take Action: Learn more and find complete show notes for every episode at Follow the podcast on Instagram for more tips, advice, and inspiration: @yourbadassjourneypodcast Get your SLP Mastery Workbook   Connect with Kareen: Website: Instagram: @kareenzwalsh Facebook: Twitter: @kareenzwalsh LinkedIn:   Your Badass Journey is a production of Crate Media
I’ve recently been reading Matthew McConaughey’s new book (“Greenlights.”) There’s more than a few stories in it worth considering. First, the name; it’s all about looking at the things in your life and noticing when you get a green light, when you get a red light, and when you get a detour. Kim and I are going to discuss what to do in each of those situations, why we’re getting so many green lights lately, and how you can make sure everything is working out for you. In This Conversation We Cover:  [03:55] Noticing the green lights and red lights in your life [07:06] How we expect things to be hard [10:52] What to do when you’re seeing red lights [12:23] Looking beyond coincidences [16:41] How clarity leads to more green lights [22:34] Avoiding contrasting thoughts Resources: Read: (“Greenlights”) Text "Dream Life" to 310- 388-9724 to get our FREE dream life course Mastermind: ( Connect with Rob on Instagram: (@robmurgatroyd) Connect with Kim on Instagram: (@kimmurgatroyd) To learn more, and for the complete show notes, visit: ( Work Hard Play Hard is a production of (Crate Media)
Penn and Kim Holderness have exploded into virtual stardom due to their incredible talent. They’ve become full-time influencers and recently released a book called (“Everybody Fights: So Why Not Get Better At It.”) The Holderness family could never have guessed they would become a family of influencers — they didn’t even know that was a thing you could do. When a video they put out just for family and friends took a viral turn, it still took two years for them to realize they could do it full-time and it quickly became the best possible path they could take. We talk about the challenges of creating content, being open about anxiety and depression, growing up as the child of a pastor, and learning how to fight better. When we suppress, we depress. [12:20] - Take the time for your children to experience the negative emotions.
