Dr. Ellen Langer is a professor of Psychology at Harvard University, where she was the first woman to be tenured in the department. She is the founder of The Langer Mindfulness Institute and consults with organizations to foster mindful leadership, innovation, strategy and work/life integration.
Langer's work focuses on the illusion of control, decision-making, aging, and mindfulness theory. Her best-known book, "Counterclockwise," was published in 2009.
Langer received her B.A. in Psychology from New York University
and her Ph.D. in Psychology from Yale University.
