Leslie Uggams is an actor and singer on stage, television, and in film. She is known for her role as Kizzy Reynolds in the 1977 television miniseries "Roots." Uggams began her career as a child actor in the early 1950s. She gained fame for her role in the Broadway musical "Hallelujah, Baby!" in nthe 1960s. She played Blind Al in the movies "Deadpool" and "Deadpool 2" in the 2000 and 2010s. Uggams has appeared in over a dozen movies, and has released 10 music albums.
