Stefani Cox is a writer and poet. Before becoming a full-time author, she also taught fiction at the University of California Riverside. She has also been an editor for Santa Ana River Review, Speculative City, and PodCastle. Cox's work has been published to LeVar Burton Reads, The Rumpus, and the anthology Black from the Future, among other outlets. Her poetry chapbook "The Stars With You" was published in 2022. Cox received her B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University, her M.C.P. in City and Regional Planning from the University of California Berkeley, and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of California Riverside.
