Steven Millhauser is an author of novels and short stories. He taught at Skidmore College for almost thirty years before retiring in 2017.
Millhauser's first book, "Edwin Mullhouse : the life and death of an American writer, 1943-1954, by Jeffrey Cartwright," was published in 1972, and was his best-known work for decades. In 1997, he received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel "Martin Dressler."
