Co-host Rich “The Meister” Dillon is widely known for his globe-trotting rock and roll adventures. Of course, he spins some awesome music from those bands that played too. Welcome to CGCM Podcast EP#82-Riot Radio Vol. 11-HRH XIII (Meister).
Rich "The Meister" Dillon here guiding you through this installment of CGCM's Riot Radio theme of episodes. Just a bit over a week ago, I was once again off in the world attending a rock and roll event. This time my travel saw me back in the UK to the coastal village of Great Yarmouth for Hard Rock Hell or HRH. I’ll do my best to recap some of those experiences and band performances here as I tell Wallygator all about it. Take a listen to CGCM Podcast EP#82-Riot Radio Vol. 11-HRH XIII (Meister) featuring songs from many of the artists over the whole weekend!
It's Chaos with the Canadian Geeks and Kickin Valentina! Welcome to CGCM Podcast EP#81 - Kickin Valentina (Heber & Chris).
With only weeks away from the release of their new EP, Chaos In Coppenhagen, Kickin Valentina's bassist Chris Taylor and guitarist Heber Pampillon take some time to sit down and shoot the shit with the Canadian Geeks.
For the uninitiated, Kickin Valentina plays loud, unapologetic rock n roll! Hailing from Atlanta,Georgia the band has been kickin ass and taking names since they founded in 1983. A tried and true live act they have been tearing up stages all over the globe. Be it on tour with acts such as LA Guns, Kix, Skid Row, Faster Pussycat or Red Dragon Cartel or as part of numerous Rock festivals. Kickin Valentina are always ready to deliver the goods.
The boys open up about how the band got started, how they came up with the band's name and their D.I.Y. "World Domination" approach to social media. Also discussed is the importance of their fans, their love of Elvis Presley and of course the new "Chaos in Coppenhagen" EP. A 4 song teaser of what is to come with new vocalist D.K. Revelle. Lastly, Chris and Heber take a shot at the "Canadian Inquisition".
Welcome to CGCM Podcast‘s Riot Radio! The Riot Radio concept: CGCM brings you a podcast episode with less talk and more rock. Terrestrial radio has become homogenized. Satellite radio falling to the same fate. Remember the days when radio played bands like Helix and AC/DC etc and not just the hits, but deep cuts and new music? How about a brand new band? One that you’ve never heard before, perhaps even a foreign band? Miss those days? Well, CGCM is bringing them back! That’s what our Riot Radio is all about! The co-hosts take turns each Riot Radio episode in playing solo DJ to spin some great Hard Rock/Metal music that you may be unfamiliar with and we feel needs to be showcased. You know…how terrestrial and satellite radio SHOULD be! Welcome to CGCM Podcast EP#80 - Riot Radio Vol 10 (Meister's Halloween).
Alright, my spooky ghouls, goblins, and ghosts... it's Halloween night 2019 and I'm Rich "The Meister" Dillon, your host for this episode of CGCM Podcast's Riot Radio theme. Tonight it's all about Halloween as I spin you some tracks in the Halloween theme.
A big shout out to Patrik Olofsson in Sweden as it's his personally carved EDDIE pumpkin on the artwork and in the show notes, great job mate! Thanks especially to all the folks that commented and suggested tracks on my FB post as well!TBH my little ghosties this is my third recording of this episode! I had tons of tracks and options. I went through all the usual suspects like Maiden, Wednesday 13, Twisted Sister's "Captain Howdy", Helloween, and the like but you know me, I focus on the smaller bands and that's what I've mostly done here again. My intros were stale...er than these ones! And my sound clips didn't work as I'd hoped. So third time lucky and here we are.
Let's go Trick or Treating!
Welcome to CGCM Podcast‘s Riot Radio! The Riot Radio concept: Every other week CGCM brings you a podcast episode with less talk and more rock. The co-hosts take turns each week in playing solo DJ to spin some great Hard Rock/Metal music that you may be unfamiliar with and we feel needs to be showcased. You know…how terrestrial and satellite radio SHOULD be! Welcome to CGCM Podcast EP#79 -Riot Radio Vol 9 "Rock N Roll" Editon.
It turns out that songs with "Rock N Roll" in the title are in abundance. When I went looking for a new "Riot" themed song, I realized the overabundance of the Rock N Roll songs in my personal collection. This got me to thinking that this might just make a great theme for this week's Riot Radio Show. So I pulled out a dozen tracks, now just sit right down, relax, open ears real wide. Let's rock n roll!
Welcome everyone to the next episode of the Canadian Geeks Chatting Metal Podcast! Tonight’s episode is entitled “Never Have I Ever”. It’s basically one of those stupid Facebook things that often make the rounds online.
The Geeks somehow figured a way to spin this into a full podcast episode, complete with dicks in the dirt and a healthy dose of quality metal. Along the way, you will learn many things that the Meister and Wallygator both have and have not done.
Prior to jumping in you will get quite possibly the longest tangent every told on the show. Best enjoyed highly intoxicated, so break them out early! It involves drunken craziness, Hollywood, red carpet movie premieres and a little more drunken craziness.
From there the Canadian Geeks work their way through one of the "Never Have I Ever" lists and comparing notes along the way. You will find out riveting information about the hosts including...Has either host broken a bone?, skipped school?, gone skydiving? Which host has been zip lining? Who fired a gun? Ridden a horse? Skuba Diving?
You will find out these and more. Beer is consumed and the boys even figure out a way to include some kick ass hard rock and heavy metal tunes that tie in perfectly. So go to the fridge, grab yourself a 6-pack and we will meet you back here. As always the CGCM Podcast goes better with beer.
