About This List

Podcasts for diving through the various facets of music and the music industry
  1. Temp Fans is a podcast that explores the complete studio discography of legacy, popular, or downright obscure artists. We started out as a Facebook group where we listen to an album a day by a chosen artist, from start to finish, even the bad bits. And that's what this podcast is. Join us as we dive through the good, the bad and the what? Take your time and listen along. Feel free to pause us and go listen on Spotify or wherever to the albums. Or go to our Spotify playlist where you will find the pod spliced up and inserted into a curated playlist of selected tracks. To date Nick and Ewan have been joined by an ever growing roster of guests, who all have one thing in common; they want the chance to talk about artists that inspire passion in them. That's not to say this is a gushfest, there are plenty of dissenting opinions on the way. As we dive through the discographies, why not dive through our past episodes and listen to: John Tansey on The Pogues Ben Zimmer, Emily Baldoni, Lael Wageneck, Steven Miller, Zoë Von Hess, Jonathan Fisher, and Emma McDermott on David Bowie Nick Hilditch, Brendan Quigley and Aron T White on The Butthole Surfers Ben Zimmer, Jesse Jarnow, and Jeffrey Lewis on Yo La Tengo Aron T White and Chris Whitby on Can Ewan, Emily Baldoni, and William Shunn on Spoon Scott Donald and Si Sharp on QOTSA Nick Hilditch, John Henderson, Fliss Kitson, J Fisher, Zoë Von Hess, Joe Mitchell, James Kennedy, Mike Plowman, Aaron Troy White, and Tansy McNally on The Fall Emily Baldoni, Gavin Hogg, and Paul Hanley on Love

  3. Song Exploder is a podcast where musicians take apart their songs, and piece by piece, tell the story of how they were made. Each episode features an artist discussing a song of theirs, breaking down the sounds and ideas that went into the writing and recording. Hosted and produced by Hrishikesh Hirway.
  4. A podcast all about young attempts at musical stardom and a love letter to music making. Featuring chats with people in all sorts of fields including writers, actors, illustrators, comedians and broadcasters. Presented and produced by Nick Taylor
  5. We're listening to every number one album of the 90s so you don't have to.
  6. Welcome aboard The Giddy Carousel of Pop! We are a Smash Hits appreciation podcast dedicated to the swingorilliant British pop magazine which ran from 1978 to 2006. In each episode, we take an old issue of Ver Hits (usually from the 1980s but may slip a year or two either side of that) and discuss what’s on its pages, looking at who’s riding high on the carousel and who’s heading down the dumper. We always have a guest to help us along the way, so we’ll be talking to the readers, the writers, and who knows, maybe even the odd pop star who appeared in its pages.A proud part of the We Made This podcast network.
