Delightful. Our world needs much more of such silliness.

Humans pretending to be inanimate objects reveals more about humanity then humans pretending to be humans.

I love the concept for this show. It has made me feel emotions I did not know were possible, towards the most banal items in my life. I really enjoy how Ian interviews the items, and especially how he handles the sensitive topics in their lives. He lets them imagine better lives for themselves (the jack o lantern, the soap bar) and indulges the dreams of the most mundane items (the lamp post, the stuffed animal). Listening to the sometimes traumatic experiences of these items (again, the jack o lantern comes to mind) I can't help but think, I wish I could talk to Ian about all my problems. My smallest ounce of criticism, and I'm not at all qualified to poke holes, is that I've noticed the format of the episodes seems to be baked in thoroughly. Every episode goes from them introducing themselves, ian asking questions, they give a response, and within 5 minutes or so the interviewee ham fistedly throws in a true fact about themself. I know the show isn't scripted but I get the impression they see a timer in front of them and they go "oh no, I have to get this weird fact worked into the conversation in the next 2 minutes before the ad break!" I'm sure that's not what really happens, i'm sure it's much more complicated than that. Like I said, small criticism. But I love this show.
