Non-Scale Victories (rebroadcast)
Carl Franklin and Richard Morris ask the 2KD community to relate their NSVs (Non-Scale Victories) or all of the benefits of a ketogenic diet they've noticed other than weight loss. The results may surprise you. Errata Carl mentioned that a ketongenic diet is specifically good for Rheumatoid arthritis(RA), in fact of the two markers tested it only lowered one, but fasting was shown to lower both. So it may well be that fasting, which we know is easer if you are adapted to a ketogenic diet, is your best strategy to deal with RA.
Type 2 Diabetes (rebroadcast)
Originally published April 4, 2016: Carl and Richard discuss Type 2 Diabetes. How does one get it? Is it reversible? How does it differ from Type 1 Diabetes? How does the medical establishment tell you to manage it? What does the standard recommended diet for Type 2 diabetics look like? These are all questions Carl and Richard tackle on this week's 2 Keto Dudes.
