Today’s running partner is an Ultra-Marathon runner that goes by the name of Andy Nuttall who talks about his journey to creating the amazing Ultra Running Magazine.

ULTRA Magazine is the UK's first print magazine dedicated to ultra running - generally speaking, any running race longer than the marathon distance of 26.2 miles.

Andy Nuttall went from 42 years old moderate (like here and there) runner to developing a pallet for Ultra runs thanks to a friend. The decision came about one day when he saw a picture of himself pushing his daughter in a pram. It’s quite funny and you can listen to it at 00:01:55 minutes into the running interview.

His magazine is outstanding, and I can only recommend it. Beyond the creator of ULTRA Magazine, Andy is a Senior Producer for a Games Company here in the UK and I always find that if you work anywhere in gaming you can make things fun for yourself.

I thoroughly believe this is the case here.

There is of course a lot more to Andy and when you are ready you can hear us discuss the Ultra Marathon Running magazine, his training plan and his upcoming races. Or, you simply get your headset on and run the distance with us.

Let’s Go!

This is day 2,950 of #3MileRunDown on my personal Running Streak!

Runners Quote
00:21:0500:22:02
“… with these races, the clock ticks no matter what you do, and you get [ when I was doing it ] 96 hours to do it in. You can sleep as much as you like in that time. … I slept too much if anything and I will have forever the slowest time.” – Andy Nuttall describing his run at the King Offas Dyke Ultra 185 miles race.

3 Mile Run Down is a way for me to talk with equally enthusiastic people from all sorts of backgrounds. My aim is to tap into their knowledge achieved through paths life took them. We may pound the miles together and it combines, and it may bring us even closer, that being said it’s for each something else that sets us on this path.

This is an open invitation to find value and knowledge in each different runner and run, because no life paths are the same and no three-mile run is either.
