In today's episode you'll hear a recently recorded interview with Jeremy Ayers, one of two acting section managers for Alaska's state-wide food safety and sanitation program. Jeremy oversees offices in Dutch Harbour, Sitka, Juneau, Ketchikan, Anchorage, and Kodiak. He was initially trained in public health including food safety, in the Air Force, where he worked for 7 and a half years. He has been working in the Alaska food safety program for over a year and a half, and has received extensive additional training from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation and the federal Food and Drug Administration. This interview is about 50 minutes long.
Thanks again to Jeremy Ayers for taking the time to talk with Alaska Boomer Radio. You can communicate with him by phone at area code 907-269-6288. I will include his email address and the link to his website in the written show notes which accompany this podcast.
For those of you who have listened to prior episodes of Alaska Boomer Radio, you may have already noticed that something is missing -- the second half of the show which featured an old-time radio broadcast. In order to better focus my time on the interviews, and in order to keep each episode shorter, I will no longer be including the old-time radio segment. However, you can find thousands of old-time radio shows and listen to them for free at Archive.org. This is a spectacular website with enough free high quality entertainment and information to last a lifetime. No kidding. Take a look at archive.org.
Please visit our website, agingalaskans.info, which has information of interest about healthcare, housing, retirement, poetry and short stories, and much more, so please explore the website while you're there. Sign up for the newsletter to stay informed. I send out an issue every few weeks, so your mailbox won't be inundated.
Also, I would like to hear from you regarding Alaska Boomer Radio Interviews and our website, Agingalaskans.info. What are your suggestions for interviews in the future? What additional information should we have on the website? Send comments to my personal email at [email protected]. That's l-d-w-e-i-s-s at agingalaskans.info. Thanks for listening to Alaska Boomer Radio. I'll have another show for you in 2 or 3 weeks. Until then, take care of yourself so you can have some fun...
