I found Robert's podcast roughly 7 months ago on Spotify. I've listened to every one since. I think it is one of the best podcasts out there. I'm a rare, independent voting 28 yr-old who just moved back to, and is from South Carolina. Robert's background is very similar to mine. I ended up being unlike most of my fellow South Carolinians through reading, cultural immersion, and viewing the world as a bigger and more complex stage. My entire family is Pro-Trump and they unfortunately fall into the category of "little Nazis". These two episodes struck a nerve because Robert, and his support from Mayer's literature could not better accurately describe what we're watching take shape in the US. I hope to one day be a guest on his show and have the chance to share my viewpoints as a person with a degree in Econ, living in a very backwards state and who is trying to be a good human and inspire others to do the same.
