Lizzy Denmark, owner of the Maple Grid Cafe wants to compete in the Barista Contest at all cost until she gets muddled up in a murder case involving another contestant, Rachel. She decides to investigate the case herself to clear her name. It seems most people have reason to believe Rachel was better off dead.

While Lizzy sifts through her suspect list, she's caught in a cupids bow with her lawyer, while having to find the murderer before her life and her Cafe ends in a gravely mess.
