Popular Reviews of Black History Is American History

For February 2020, The Liturgists' William Matthews partnered with Propaganda, Andre Henry, & Nikki Blak to put out a 29 episode series of short profiles of Black History- pointing out that, truly, this is American History. Many episodes are biographies of individuals (Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, Sojourner Truth) while others are more topical in nature (Reconstruction, Tuskegee Airmen, Black Inventors). I mourn that almost ALL of this was left out of my education as a child. I've found this very eye-opening & intriguing and I’ll be going back to dig into many of these great individuals and moments in history. If you love history or wonder what had been left out of your history books, check this out now. This is must-listen any time of year. Please don’t only listen in February.
