INTRO: Today’s episode we’re covering a common question I see in our Industry and that’s whether or not you should invest in paid advertising, whether it be with the Knot, wedding wire, zola, yelp etc. I’m going to share my answer to this question based upon what has worked for me and my clients over the last 15 years! So if you’re looking to gain more inquiries, which we ALL should be constantly doing at any point in your business! Even if you have a butt load of leads coming in and you’re fully booked! First of all, Raise your rates because the demand is high and your calendar is limited. Secondly, once you raise your rates and you’re stepping into a new market level you will need more leads coming into your funnel because your conversion rate may drop a tad, so basically you ALWAYS need as many leads coming in as possible.

SHOW NOTES:

  • I have invested in some advertising my first year in business when I first started Jireh Artistry and what I found was that the type of Brides I was attracting were price shopping.
  • For whatever reason, these advertising companies are attracting this type of clientele
  • This is also some of the companies that give false information when it comes to budgeting for Your Hair & Makeup Artist services

  • Another reason for this is because they list a bunch of companies for the Bride to look through and compare the profiles

  • It’s encouraged to compare by the way these sites are set up

  • What are Brides comparing? Portfolio and Pricing. PERIOD

  • The return on investment is low if any

  • Many complaints from Artists who didn’t get any bookings

  • And I want to also note that if online paid advertisements (not talking about social media ads) has worked for you, GREAT, im so happy for you and yes please continue too do what works for you. You can also choose to add in the following into your Marketing strategy  in addition to the paid advertising. I personally, have never mastered the art of paid advertising. They will try to say you need the perfect photo to capture the Brides attention etc. that’s just my 2 cents But I WILL be speaking on what I HAVE MASTERED
