Tonight’s guests are business owners who exemplify the spirit of this season, all year long. Join me in the last show of the year, as we all look forward to a healthy and prosperous 2013.Mr. Louis Shamie, founder of Delta Children's Products, is in his 80s, but still goes to the office daily. His sons have taken the brand their father built and turned it into the largest crib/nursery furniture manufacturer in the world. Yet, they have less than 500 employees and still run the business with the same small business mentality of their father. Personally affected by Superstorm Sandy, the company has donated half a million dollars worth of product to Sandy victims and continue to give more.Rhonda Sciortino started and built her business of protecting people and organizations that care for abused kids because she used to be a ward of the court. She has been called a "maniac on a mission." Geoff Scott, aka The Senior Bodyguard founded Friends of the Family home health care from scratch in 2005. His radio show, Senior Moments, is a talk show to help seniors, loved ones, caregivers and anyone else navigate through what is called the 3 C's ( confusing care continuum). He volunteers at the Special Olympics, and Habitat for Humanity. His Toledo Ohio location has grown to 130 employees, and he is on his way to his second licensing agreement.Lucy Andrews calls herself a "homecarian" ( A Registered Nurse who loves all thing home care) making a difference in people's lives as they age. 10 years ago she started her home health care business with no investors and a shoe string budget, and today it is a multimillion dollar agency serving the disabled and seniors. Every day she is inspired by courageous and loving clients and their families who face aging, illness and death with grace and dignity. So tune in, call in, chat in, and as always, be inspired!
