Today’s Cedar Rapids Iowa weather outlook, as of 5:15 AM on Sunday, the 23rd of June. Overnight, isolated showers. Cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Next, Sunday, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 78. Sunday Night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10pm. Some of these storms may produce strong gusty winds and heavy downpours. Isolated severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening and the Storm Prediction Center has a marginal risk over the entire outlook area. There is a low chance for thunderstorms each day Thursday through Saturday. It is too soon to determine the potential for severe weather. Spotter information statement.
