What is beyond this Universe, how did the Universe begin, what spawned the singularity, is there a boundary to the Universe, if there is no boundary how is space infinite? There questions have been with me for the better part of two decades. At night I would lay in bed at ten years old fearful and awestruck when I would imagine myself at the edge of the Universe peering into the Void on the other side. The Great Void on the other side, the forces that gave birth to space time were beyond my comprehension and 20 years later they still are.I have went down different paths of inquiry to find some answers. The path of physics has gripped me when I learned about the existence of neutron stars and black holes. When I was 22 I really stopped and thought about just how incredible space was. My mind had opened after a long closure and the realization that these awesome forces were going on as I sat and breathed captured my fascination and invigorated a new found zeal for diving deep into astronomy and physics. The reality that in space right now there are neutron stars which weigh approximately 2 billion tons per cubic inch blew my mind. For years I was operating under the depressing delusion that there was nothing left to explore, that life offered no more mysteries, science had figured everything out. At heart I am an explorer of life and for a long time my soul was nearly extinguished because my world view was so narrow, pessimistic and uninformed. Once I began seeking, I discovered that the Universe is still ripe with mystery, waiting for me to explore. A love for science and rock climbing brought Kai and I together. We would have many great conversations at the rock wall. Once I started this podcast he was on the top of the list. I needed to know about light, what is it, how can it be particle and wave at the same time? Quantum mechanics have always been fancy words that to me only mean the term for sub atomic interactions. They still are fancy words but I have a sliver more insight on some of these interactions now than before. We finish talking about an important subject and that is inquiry itself. Curiosity is often the driving force behind understanding and the more we learn the more the mystery deepens.??‍♂️?
