On this episode of Cigars and Sea Stories, Michael J. Penney and Bennett Tanton are talking “Wrist Watches”.
The wrist watch is an extremely important piece of kit that nearly everyone has. If you don’t have a wrist watch, it’s because you have a cellphone or computer and you don’t work in the field, let’s be honest.
Mike and Bennett each have a story, or two, regarding missed synchronization or complete disasters in the field, all due to the wrong timing. Bennett’s alarm went off while operating out of an observation post, good job recon. There was that one time in bootcamp when a kid bought a watch from the PX and came strolling through the squad bay sporting his green banded analog like it was a new Rolex... drill instructor was NOT impressed. Enjoy all these stories and more.
The wrist watch has been around for centuries. In fact, it came out over 300 years before the first lighter came out. Listen thru the episode factoid to learn more and leave us your comments.
