Today’s book suggestion is another book from my collection and its called American Street by Ibi Zoboi.

This is a YA novel published in 2017 that explores the story of a young teenage girl that comes to live in Detroit from Haiti and the challenges she faces now living in America.

I decided to purchase this book to learn more about the perspective of others that come to America as immigrants and to try to understand the struggle to come from one culture and move into an environment that is very different.

So, short and sweet, that’s my suggestion for today.
