If you’re new here, this podcast provides awareness to young adult books written by authors of color by suggesting a new book every day 5 days a week.

Today’s book suggestion is another book from my collection and its called An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.

This is a YA fantasy novel published in 2015 and it’s the first book of a series, which now includes 3 books, which the 3rd book was released this year in 2018.

This book is set in a fantasy world inspired by Ancient Rome, and it follows the first person perspective of a girl and boy that are both seeking to escape the tyranny of the Empire that they are being forced to serve.

I decided to purchase this book after I heard so many great things about this author and I can’t wait to read it!

So, short and sweet, that’s my suggestion for today.
