Today’s book suggestion comes from @kay_t_thereader on Instagram and its her book from her July book club pick called Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.

This is a YA science fiction novel published in 1993 and is the first book in a two-book series.

Essentially the book focuses on a young woman who possess the ability to feel the pain or other sensations of the other people around her. With a some-what dystopian feel, this book explores society and humankind in the future and the idea that humans should travel outside of Earth and live on different planets.

So, short and sweet, that’s today’s book suggestion.
