Nothing is more shrouded in mystery and misinformation than nutrition. It is the foundation upon which all athletic performance is built, but has been portrayed as an enormously complicated phenomenon - beyond the depths of comprehension of ordinary human beings. Although our species has managed to feed itself and survive for hundreds of thousands of years, in the last 50 or so years, we’ve done a pretty fine job of bastardising it with less than stellar outcomes.
