We often hear "Never give up!" and "Winners never quit!" Both statements are rubbish. It depends. Find out why and when you should walk away after all.

There’s no shortage of experts out there
Who tell us to go for it, nail it, crush it and even do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Yep, that can definitely be good advice.
You don’t start your own business without perseverance.
You don’t create a great marriage without hanging in there and working it through.
You can’t get fit and stay fit without the unsexy sweaty hard work.
But, is there a time when you should walk away?
I think there is.
Let’s say you’re trying to launch a new idea.
Part of the deal is that some ideas succeed, and some fail.
It might be to do with the idea, the environment, timing or a lucky break.
Or you.
Now, if you bail too early then you miss out on potential success.
You also miss out on learning from your mistakes
Confirming what doesn’t work
And the tremendous benefits to be gained in staying the course.
But, if after all that
And after you’ve tried different approaches
And got feedback and responded
And it still isn’t working?
Then I suggest you walk away.
As Jonathan Fields once said
“Sometimes you gotta kill your darlings.”
Face it, they’re just not working and probably never will.
Or they might,
But do you really want to pay that price?
If something is burying you
And you’ve done your homework, tried it different ways
And got feedback
And it still isn’t happening
Then walk away.
It’s OK.
