Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible today, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. Some strong or severe storms are possible with a threat for hail and downburst winds. Later this evening and overnight, there is a chance for a complex of storms to move into the area from the northwest. This complex would mainly affect North Texas, especially locations near the Red River. A threat for strong winds and flash flooding could exist with these storms. Days two through seven. Sunday through Friday. Additional thunderstorms are expected on Sunday, especially Sunday evening into Sunday night. Another complex of storms is expected to move into the area from the northwest, with the potential for strong or damaging winds, hail, and flash flooding. This complex should affect most of North and Central Texas as it continues to move southeastward early Monday morning. Lower thunderstorm chances will continue each day through the upcoming week, mainly during the late afternoon hours. Spotter information statement. Limited spotter activation is possible this afternoon and evening.

Forecast. The river will continue rising to a crest near 8 feet by Monday after midnight then begin falling but remain above flood stage. At 8 feet, Minor flooding will occur upstream from the gage, near the city golf course.
