In a time that many seem all-too-thrilled to declare the death of a genre, there was an increasing number of great albums and songs released in 2023.Plenty of new material from veteran artists was released in 2023 including albums by The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Overkill, Dokken, Halestorm, Prong, Metallica, Metal Church, Extreme among others. Lots of newer bands were forging their own path last year with new music such as Rock City Machine Co, Ravenstine, Seven Ravens, Iron Void, Crown Lands, Fortune Child and more.
