The concert

Expect family favourite carols, seasonal choral music, literary readings, and hear for the first time a new carol commissioned especially for this event by the internationally renowned composer John Rutter. This new composition will be premiered on the night of the concert and performed by the beautiful voices of the Oxford Bach Soloists.

Listen out for stories from Macmillan nurses, and a few surprise guests for their own personal accounts of what Macmillan means to them.

Listen to enjoy the voices of Mary BerryToby JonesGugu Mbatha-Raw, and Aimee Lou Wood bringing your favourite Christmas pieces to life, and captivating performances from the Oxford Bach Soloists singing some of the nation’s most popular Christmas music.

You can't possibly fail to be moved upon hearing the spine tingling notes of Once In Royal David’s City sung by one of Christ Church Cathedral’s choristers, so whatever your plans are this Christmas, press play for that guaranteed festive feeling!

Macmillan need your help now more than ever to address the impact the pandemic: vital appointments and treatments have needed to be postponed or cancelled, and too many diagnoses have been discovered simply too late. 98% of Macmillan's funding is via public donations, and your donation really will make a difference to the lives of people living with cancer.

There are two ways you can donate:

  1. Visit the Follow The Stars - Macmillan Carols 2021 JustGiving page (www.justgiving.com/fundraising/follow-the-stars)
  2. Text to donate: Donating by text is a quick and easy way to support Macmillan. Text STARS to 70550 to make a £10 single donation. Or text STARS £20 or STARS £30 to give a different amount.

What will happen with your donation?
All the funds raised will immediately go to Macmillan Cancer Support and help improve the outcomes and survival rates of cancer sufferers by addressing delayed cancer services and by supporting more people living with cancer.
