Conor Quinn is the inaugural Fulbright Scholar in Cybersecurity to Boston College. As a Fulbright TechImpact Scholar, Conor conducted research at the Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College while attending the Cybersecurity Policy and Governance Masters program. Following the completion of the Fulbright Scholarship, Conor became a Research Fellow for the MS in Cybersecurity Policy and Governance research team. In addition, he is a Cybersecurity consultant with over 5 years’ industry experience. His work centers around investigating cybersecurity incidents to determine how they happened and to recommend improvements to increase security of organizations. Conor is a regular participant in Irish cyber security conferences and meetups, presenting on his Fulbright experience and cybersecurity. He earned a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Digital Investigation and Forensic Computing both at the University College Dublin.
Kevin Powers is the founder and Director of the M.S. in Cybersecurity Policy and Governance Program at Boston College, and an Assistant Professor of the Practice at Boston College Law School and in Boston College’s Carroll School of Management’s Business Law and Society Department. With over 20 years of combined law enforcement, military, national security, business, higher education, and teaching experience, he has worked as an analyst and an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Navy, U.S. Department of Defense, law firms in Boston and Washington, D.C., and as the General Counsel for an international software company based in Seattle, Washington. Kevin regularly provides expert commentary regarding cybersecurity and national security concerns for varying local, national, and international media outlets.
