Corporate Social Responsibility is no longer a ‘nice to have’ for large companies – it’s becoming a requirement for every business that wants to build lasting customer loyalty and employee retention among today’s mission-drive consumer base. A recent study by Cone Communications shows that 76 percent of millennials look for employers based on their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) efforts, social impacts and profits are not incompatible.
I had honor of interviewing Stephen Clarke, Founder & CEO at RTG Group – a for-profit social enterprise. Stephen shared insights on process of allowing staff to be part of a selecting social causes that they would like to contribute instead of corporate initiatives. He also outlined various business benefits from socially responsible culture i.e employee retention, increase profits and growth.
