We often feel we are a prisoner to our own minds. We are constantly wrestling with our thoughts and hate ourselves for our negative emotions. We either try to think our way out of the emotion, numb ourselves with busyness or project our self-hate onto others. The whole time we are doing everything we can to avoid our emotions at all costs.
