Tiana is one of NZ’s most highly regarded lawyers, previously working as a Crown prosecutor for over a decade, awarded Lawyer of the Year in 2019, and in October 2018, landing her biggest professional role yet - elected as the 31st President of the New Zealand Law Society.

In today’s chat we speak about dealing with the extra expectations on women when they land senior roles, where she draws her excellence and motivation from, waitressing and the sliding door moment that changed her career, mental health, her role during the global pandemic, mentoring, finding courage despite people saying she would never win the presidential campaign; that she was too inexperienced and too young, pregnancy and career progression, and the one piece of advice she would give to women wanting to advance their career, regardless of the profession (it’s a good one).
