I am thoroughly enjoying Heroes In Progress thus far. I'm still in the first story arc (4 episodes in!), but I'm already really loving the characters (PC & NPC alike). The setting is also really great. Rather than being a standard fantasy/magic school actual-play, this is a modern college that happens to also have accepted fantasy elements. It's a great modern-tech fantasy homebrew world that uses the D&D 5e rule-set to great effect. I love that the Occult Club PCs all have experience together. It adds great depth to their characters and the story they're building together. I also very much appreciate that I never feel out of my depth despite the large-ish cast of characters with established relationships. Definitely recommend this as a lovely, queer-friendly, entertaining & unique TTRPG actual-play.
