I am a full time stay at home mom and I love tending to my house/kids and seek inspiration from other like minded moms. Unfortunately (for me) these two are not it. The word that comes to mind is sanctimonious. Shay uses the term "full time family, " which really bothers me. It implies that those who do not home school AND work from home, are somehow less of a family. I can see the appeal of home schooling, but it is not for everyone and I question someday when the children are faced with the reality of the real world, how they will feel about being sheltered from us "part time families". It is also strange to poo poo on reallY NORMAL/HAPPY things like your kids going to a sleep over. Like, how in the world is children developing friendships outside of your home a bad thing? Our children are not ours to keep. Give them the gift of friendships outside of the bubble you have created. I think Shay is really the hardest one to listen to. She can be mean spirited and I cringe when she picks Angela for being a few years old. I don't know Angela, but I can hear it in her tone that is a tired joke. Downplaying covid was really the straw that broke the camels back for me.
