Fantastic if you're into creating or consuming sci-fi and fantasy. I never miss an episode.
Always SO interesting, well-produced, and thought provoking! It’s one of my go-to recommendations when people ask me what they should be listening to. Love this show!
I've been listening to Eric for several years now, and with every single episode, he brings a fresh look to sci-fi, fantasy, horror, or anything else under the 'genre' umbrella. His ability to seek out and explore interesting angles, as well as allow the listener to explore whole 'big picture' concepts makes him absolutely invaluable to anyone who wants to know more about these fascinating subjects. Keep going Eric!
This is one of my all-time favorite podcasts. Eric had a three-part series on “Doctor Who” and after many years of avoiding watching the series I let out a great big sigh and decided I could not put it off any longer. And I LOVED every minute of the reboot of series. After that I tried to catch every single Imaginary Worlds podcast. This is my tribe! 🤩
Quality content and deep dives on sci-fi and fantasy elements.
First-class, interesting and informative
This is one of my favorite podcasts! The content comes out at just the right pace (although I wouldn't mind it being a bit more often) and usually covers some of my favorite things. I love the show so much that if Eric says spoilers for some show or movie, I stop catch up on the show or movie, then come back to the podcast. Watchmen was probably my favorite series based on that.
It seems paradox: thus podcast is about fantasy and unreal things and yet every single episode moves and inspires me in a very real way.
I great mix of insight and interview. Imaginary worlds is curated almost perfectly to my interest and if you like to pull back the curtain on your favourite pop culture or spend time considering how society and pop culture cross paths, this is the podcast for you!
This is a really compelling podcast! They’ve managed to get some really great guests and have a knack for doing stories about sci-fi and fantasy from intriguing perspectives. There’s a lot to dig into, here. It’s kinda like the 99% Invisible of world building.
I love this podcast - it’s deeply creative and covers topics you don’t hear elsewhere. The host is engaging and appealing, too. One of my favorites.
This podcast is pretty great no matter what your interest is in sci-fi/fantasy/etc. Always interesting and insightful.
This is the best-researched and most grounded podcast I've found for fantasy culture. Thoroughly informed and always a jolly good listen. As full of detail as a spider's eye.
Eric is great at weaving an engaging narrative. Even in subject matter that Im not particularly interested in I still take away a love and appreciation for it. Can not recommend enough.
Everything you could ever want for science fiction, fantasy, movies, etc. I learn so much listening to this podcast and I'm always incredibly entertained. It's a fantastic way to spend half an hour.
It amazes me that I love a podcast about sci fi so much. I like sci fi but so much of it isn't interesting to me. This podcast somehow always resonates with me, and thinks much more deeply about what sci fi says and how it works.
I can’t tell you how many times I have absolutely geeked out listening to this podcast. It’s fun, informative, and entertaining. And the range, the RANGE! Everything is here. Lol
One of my favorite podcasts taking a deep dive into all of my favorite sci-fi and fantasy media.
This is easily one of very favorite podcasts. Each time a new episode turns upon my feed I get so excited, and I can’t wait to listen. Eric Molinsky has the job that I want - to be able to tell stories about the kids of storytellers and story makers that have been such an integral part of my life. Thank you, Eric, for such a great show!!
Each episode somehow manages to balance curiosity and insight within a seamless narrative structure. Always a joy.
