RATING
All Hugo's contents are enriching in so many ways: you get to improve your French (his French is a natural mix of informal, standard and formal French) and learn about French history, culture, society, economy, all aspects of contemporary France through his lively, interesting, delightful podcasts and videos. You can see how much honest effort he puts into gathering important and accurate information and fun facts on any topic he covers , and, at the same time, in keeping it light (enough) and fun. And the last but not the least: you feel like it's a friend talking to you, because his attitude is so natural, unpretentious positive and calm . Thank you Hugo for all you work and all the contents you generously offer! I use them in my French lessons (I'm a French teacher) : my students are delighted and I'm sure that with your podcasts and videos they benefit immensely, more than with other podcasts and videos.
merveilleux! Hugo Cotton m'a aide beacoup.
Salut Hugo!
I would like to congratulate you and your team on the really informative and interesting podcasts that you have produced. I have now completed 24 of them in the way you have suggested and frequently return to those podcasts to remind myself about the about the subject and in particular to learn from your balanced view. For example, the podcasts about President Macron, the french education system, Uber and conspiracy theory. You might wonder why I have not replied in French even though I understand what you say in your podcasts very well. I find that the step between understanding and speaking French is immense! I have noted your suggeations for improving in this respect. But building the confidence to express one's views in Fench conversation or even, as in this case, to write a response in French is not something that comes easily. Still at 82 years of age I will keep trying!!The main difficulty for me is finding someone to converse with regularly and frequently at a time that suits us both. Someone, able to correct one's mistakes without discouraging one in the process. This where an AI tutor could help. The language tutoring apps available on Android appear to be fairly basic and generally best suited to short or simple statements or sentences. Would you care to suggest an App that you could recommend to those who are struggling to progress beyond understanding written French. An AI App that would help develop confidence to undertake more complex conversations than elementary discussions about the weather and what one did on one's holidays!Best wishes and please keep the podcasts flowing.
Interesting topics presented clearly and at a reasonable speed for those of us trying to get a grip on the language of Molière. 😊
Embarking on the journey of learning a new language can often feel daunting, with traditional methods sometimes falling short in providing engaging and effective learning experiences. However, InnerFrench emerges as a beacon of inspiration and progress for French learners.Hosted by the talented Hugo, InnerFrench transcends the conventional language podcasts. From thought-provoking topics to insightful narratives, each episode of InnerFrench is crafted to not only enhance linguistic proficiency but also ignite curiosity and imagination.Personally, I found myself experiencing significant progress in my French proficiency only after immersing myself in Hugo's podcast. His approachable demeanor, coupled with his knack for storytelling, creates an immersive learning environment where language acquisition becomes not just a task but an enriching journey.
Bonjour, je m’appelle Radek. J’ai 48 ans, je vis au Luxembourg. Je suis polonais-américain. Le français est ma sixième langue. Ma copine m’a recommandé d’écouter InnerFrench. Merci, Hugo! Et bon courage avec le Polonais. (This was written in English and then translated -- but one day I will write it fully in French -- fantastic language).
I didn't understand how can I get pdf podcast
Love it! I've searched other French intermediate podcasts and this is my absolute favorite. It's so well-designed and the topics are excellent. He speaks at a good pace and it's easy from the transcript to look up words I don't know. This is a gem! Kudos to Hugo for helping us learn French!
