I'm the mother of an 18-year-old girl (as of Feb 2018) as well as a Japanese language teacher. Even though I majored in Japanese literature, I now work as a banker in the United States. After living here for over a decade, you can say I'm no longer the typical Japanese. However, I was still born and raised in Japan and I believe I still have my culture.
