Growing up on a ranch in the panhandle of Texas definitely gave Frankie Sims a unique childhood experience compared to those in more suburban/ city areas. Her ability to work with others and get the job done from an early age as influenced her word ethic and team-centered approach today. As a speech-language pathologist, Frankie has had a major impact on the lives of her clients, their families and on the lives of the students she mentors and teaches. Frankie's interest in positive psychology and personal development are not surprising since she is the type of person who seems to look on the bright side of things in life. Her calming and happy energy as well as her wealth of knowledge and interesting information make her a fun person to be around. And now, on to today's #TuesdayTalk episode with Frankie Sims.
#TuesdayTalk Take-Aways:
“Just know as like goes on that level of stress and the hurriedness goes down.” - Frankie Sims
“Podcasts have been a great thing for me.” -Frankie Sims, a fellow podcast junkie
“Family has just continued to be the thing that binds all of us together. One thing you learn when you're part of a family unit operating some type of family business, especially in a rural community, is that there are no gender specific job roles. If you're big enough and strong enough and you're there and a job needs to be done, it's your job.” -Frankie Sims, on instilling values in her children
“I love learning from brilliant young people.” -Frankie Sims
“Of any stopping place in life, it is good to ask whether it will be a good place from which to go on as well as a good place to remain.” -Mary Catherine Bateson, author of Composing a Life
