Spectrum TV is Nanyang Technological University, Singapore’s student-run TV station based out of Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI). Spectrum TV is broadcast in NTU Singapore during term time on TV screens located across the campus, as well as on the web through the STV website.Spectrum TV was launched in August 2008 by a group of passionate CS students. A talented team of students from and outside WKW produce audio-visual content, publicise content programming, and handle distribution.Currently, Spectrum TV releases two shows. Nanyang Spectrum is Spectrum TV’s campus television news programme. Each season carries between six to eight episodes aired weekly featuring news stories that interest and affect NTU students, as well as coverage of lifestyle and general interest stories in and around campus.Kaleidoscope is Spectrum TV’s info-entertainment programme. Each season has four to six episodes that consist of special interest stories and a game show.Spectrum TV provides NTU students a great learning opportunity to cultivate their skills in TV production and management.
