I'm not going to deny that the Greek and Roman mythologies were incredibly influential. I'm just saying that doesn't mean they deserve uncompromising reverence. There are some screwed up things. And things work mocking. For all of that, there's Liv and this podcast.

Wonderful look at ancient Greek mythology through a modern lens. Liv does a great job researching her episodes and paces her episodes well. I love this show.

Can't believe I have only just found this podcast. I love mythology, even studied the classics, but hadn't seen this show before.Entertaining, informative and love the way that the tales have been interpreted for the modern audience (in the way that they are being told). So far listened to three episodes.Really enjoyable and will be recommending to other friends I know love this genre.

Oh my gosh, the information, the sass, the intersectional feminism, the experts! This is the best mythology podcast around, hands down. Liv is a delight.

This podcast is legit the reason I even started listening to podcasts. I learn so much everytime. Learning while laughing and having fun is truly the best way to educate people in my opinion. I love the way Liv tells the stories as they are, no bullshit, and puts things into perspective with modern times. I would definitely recommend you listen to this podcast! What, still here? Liv is hilarious, feminist, and very detailed in her tellings of Greek and Roman mythology. It's thoroughly entertaining and informative, plus her voice is just very nice to listen to! Bonus!

I've always been a fan of Greek Mythology. And I've been listening to The podcast for a while now, Liv is a Wonderful host and I dig her perspective on a lot of the stories she tells even if they change my feelings on some stories.

Such a great podcast, absolutely love mythology especially the greek stuff, however Livs clear hatred for males is making me turn it off

Every minute of this podcast is gold. Liv is funny, engaging, and charming. You learn the stories but also where they come from, the importance of the fragmented sources, and the relevance of (in)accurate translations from the originals. You also get free audiobooks of the Greek and Roman Epics in Liv's voice. On top of that, she brings guests to share their expertise and those conversations are truly fascinating. The recent series of episodes on Atlantis was phenomenal. Yes, there is a feminist lens through which the stories are told, that's the whole point of the podcast, that's what makes it unique.

Host has a great voice, does a ton of research, and picks interesting topics. What more can a listener ask. Great podcast.

I first learned about Greek mythology as a kid and was taught to view these stories as "THE" truth, immutable and complete. Then I found Liv's podcast and fell in love with her take on the messy and wild realities of these myths and how we came to know them. Turns out women had a role in history and more than few heroes were assholes. Also for anyone who says Liv hates men - her problem (and mine) are with rapists. You're telling on yourself if you have an issue with this ❤️
