We had the most amazing opportunity to sit down with Kim Meeder at her ranch, Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, and talk with her about her life. Truly, this conversation was intense. We left the ranch that day a little speechless, just taking in all that Kim had to say. When you listen to this, know that Kim is not messing around! She is not into frills or fancy, she is here on this planet to do the work that God calls her to do. And we feel so blessed that she took time out of her busy schedule to talk with us, because we left there feeling changed. Kim's life changed forever when she was 9 years old with her parents murder-suicide. Soon after, she experienced healing that only Jesus can provide along with emotional comfort through a horse. This experience paved the way for what would become Crystal Peaks.
Kim is not only a horse ranch gal, she is an author and speaker and lover of the outdoors. She is a very gifted story teller and she is someone you want to sit with for hours. This episode was meant to air the week before Christmas and it's a little late (thanks to a busy season...), but it fits right in with the spirit of this time. This week we celebrate the birth of Jesus and Kim brings a message filled with the purpose of Jesus to inspire us to carry Him into our lives every day, in all that we do.
Kim has written several books, we talk with her about her newest "Encountering our Wild God" and we also mentioned an older favorite "Hope Rising. We hope you get a chance to read!
