Last episode, you learned I am an introvert. But we have to step outside of our preferences in order to speak for what’s right. It isn’t perfect—our allotted time was cut from two minutes to one—but here is my public testimony at the Seattle City Council and Lisa Herbold’s Public Safety Commission’s Emergency Meeting. You will hear my testimony be cut off at the end by the Council. Seattle and many other American cities have become dictatorial war zones where civilians are being brutalized and murdered for peaceably exercising their rights. I’ve worked inside and outside of politics, and I know that in our system there is only concern for job security and advancement of power, not for equality and progress.
