On a balmy Monday evening in late September 1983, Victor Gerena — a 25-year-old college dropout and Wells Fargo armored car guard making $4.50 per hour — set in motion the largest cash heist in history. Over the next three decades, 30 people believed to be involved in the Wells Fargo heist are arrested, killed, assassinated, and/or jailed. That is, except Victor Gerena.
