Before joining Naspers' satellite television business Multichoice, Imtiaz Patel was deeply involved in the development of South African cricket. His career started off as a teacher in a disadvantaged area, but he was soon convinced by SA cricket's doyen Ali Bacher to become involved in cricket development.
