Conversations are a necessary part of human life, they shape who we are and can be a source of nuanced ideas. However, conversations are fruitful if they are conducted within a context that allows the speakers to express themselves fluently and freely. At New Realities, we aim to give Muslim female artists the freedom to discuss, debate and discover the range of ideas available in their communities. The sharing of narratives and an honest analysis of situations pertaining to Muslim female artists will help each person transcend the boundaries that keep them trapped within preconceived judgments. It is only through thoughtful conversations that we can escape our own trappings and participate positively in society. The podcasts at New Realities will be hosted by Nasreen Shaikh Jamal Al Lail - the founder and director of Variant Space - and will range as broadly as possible.
